Platinum or Professional Platinum: what really differs?
Rid-X Platinum is the liquid in the line, sold by length of supply. You can buy a 3-month bottle, a 6-month bottle of 48 fl oz, or a 12-month pack made of two of those bottles. The label keeps its rules short: pour the marked dose into the toilet, flush, and use it only once a month. It is written for tanks up to 1,500 gallons, the same ceiling the pods and powder name.
A 24 oz bottle labeled Professional Platinum is the other way to buy it. You pour it the same way, at the marked dose, once a month. From the facts printed on both, only the bottle and the label differ. If a stronger formula tempts you to stretch the time between pump-outs, hold that thought. Rid-X itself sells the liquid for use along with occasional pumping, and the EPA's septic care page puts a household pump-out typically every three to five years.
| Option | Bottle | Monthly doses | Name on the label |

Questions
Rid-X Platinum liquid: what you ask
What is the difference between Rid-X Platinum and Professional Platinum?
The bottle and the name on the label. Platinum is sold by supply, as a 3-month bottle, a 6-month bottle or a 12-month pack of two 6-month bottles. Professional Platinum comes as a single 24 oz bottle. Both are liquids you pour into the toilet at the marked dose once a month.
Does Rid-X Platinum let you pump your tank less often?
The maker's product copy says it reduces sludge buildup and helps prevent pump-outs, while the fine print on its photos pairs it with occasional pumping. No agency we read backs the first part. The EPA's septic care page sets no separate schedule for a treated tank: a household tank is typically pumped every three to five years.
Which Rid-X Platinum supply should you order?
Order by how far ahead you plan. A 3-month bottle suits a first try of the liquid. The 6-month bottle holds 48 fl oz, and a 12-month order brings two of them, which lines up a year of doses with a single order and a single date to remember.
